One of the important meanings of the radical middle is that although all people tend to see their position as being centered in reality, when that center is in the wrong place the whole picture is distorted.
When one focuses on faith without discerning the reality of the principles (logoi) of the Word (Logos) then one can assume a dogmatic authority. This is often called fideism, that is “faith-ism” This becomes superstition when it is outside the cultural norm. Certain teachers assert their
